Christmas Shopping Made Easy

The snow is snowing and the wind is blowing, somewhere in this great nation.

Along with the signs of winter comes the hint of things to come.

Off in the distance there is a very faint sound of sleigh bells and a cheery voice calling out “Ho Ho Ho.”

Yes, it’s coming!

Christmas is just a blink of an eye away and now is the time to make this an on line shopping Christmas for you, your pet loving friends and of course, your pets.

The jolly man in the bright red suit has sent me on ahead to give you some great ideas for gifts, that are sure to please.

Books are always a welcome gift and I have found some cat and dog books that I want to see under my Christmas tree this year.

People who are pet lovers always welcome a new pet book and someone new to the world of pets would find a book on cats or dogs, a very helpful and appreciated gift.

In an effort to ease your shopping worries, I have gathered a few books that I have found to be of interest and I have given you a brief overview, along with the opportunity to purchase with ease.

Is this a great country or what!

If you have a cat owner on your list or someone that is thinking of becoming a cat owner this book is a great choice, Cat Owners Manual by Sam Stall and Dr. David Brunner offers tons of great advice.

There are step by step instructions to correct certain misbehaviors, answers to hundreds of questions and it is filled with useful information for the new cat owner or one that has had cats for a long time.

Many pet lovers are interested in natural healing for their pets. Many of us are using natural means to keep ourselves healthy and feel we are doing our pets a dis-service, so here is a book for all of us natural healing believers to get for our pets.

New Choices in Natural Healing for Dogs and Cats by Amy D. Shojai is filled with tips on using natural alternatives for healing the emotional and physical problems that our pets suffer from. The author includes tips from many experienced holistic veterinarians that they use on their own pets. It is a worthwhile addition for you or your favorite person’s library.

In doing my research for books that would make great Christmas gifts I found another one that deals with natural health and it had 42 reviews on it by everyday people like you and me; and all reviews were positive.

The Natural Remedy Book for Dogs and Cats by Diane Stein is a book that is easy to understand. It is recommended for people with an open mind, who have pets that conventional medicine, has not been able to help.

There are testimonials from people who have had pets with heart disease, diabetes and other illnesses that have been helped and have lived for more years than expected.

If you have someone with an elderly pet or someone interested in natural health on your gift list. This might just be the book for them.

Most of us are familiar with Prevention Magazine, it is a collection of articles that cover many of our everyday problems and conditions.

Well, they have a book out that will help a pet owner solve most pet problems and conditions.

The Doctors Book of Home Remedies for Dogs and Cats by Prevention is a collection of articles that covers everything from A to Z.

It is a book that every pet owner should have. From solving such things as bad behavior, obesity, pet health and much more, this book has it all. Due to the fact it covers both dogs and cats, some topics maybe a little short, but overall, it gives a great overview of what to expect and how to handle each situation.

Is there someone in your life that is truly a “cat lover” and goes out of their way to help a stray or feral cat?

Well, I have a book for them.

The Stray Cat Handbook by Tamara Kreuz is a textbook for all things related to stray and feral cats.

This book is well written and filled with pertinent information dealing with stray and feral cats. There is enough information to help a person start a “rescue organization” for feral cats and other strays.

If you or someone you know is interested in making that “stray kitty” down by the office into a house pet, this book will teach you how.

This next book is an absolute necessity for a dog owner or someone who is contemplating getting a dog.

I guarantee that this book will bring you not only hugs and kisses at Christmas, but you will be considered a treasured friend or relative all year long.

The Dog Owners Home Veterinary Handbook by James Giffin is a must have for all dog owners or people thinking of getting a dog.

It covers every imaginable subject from A to Z, with an index that covers signs and symptoms in the front of the book to a more comprehensive index in the back. It is called “A Masterpiece” in the field of dog care.

This next book for dog owners is fun along with teaching your dog certain behaviors and curbing “bad habits.”

The Everything Dog Training and Trick Book by Gerilyn Bielakiewicz explains how to solve all behavioral issues along with guiding you through teaching your dog how to be the “star” of every party you have.

You and your dog will learn some very neat tricks and will be able to play to standing ovations (well, maybe.)

Gerilyn is the cofounder of Canine University, a dog training school located in Malden, MA.

She is also a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, a member of Therapy Dogs International and a field instructor for Paws with a Cause.

These are just a few of the great pet books that are available. Books make wonderful long lasting Christmas gifts, as well as great gifts for any occasion that demands a gift.

I hope this has helped and in the coming blog issues I will be giving you more ideas for the pet person in your life.
