red blood cells (rbcs)



Blood that transports oxygen to all the tissues in the body. RBC's contain haemoglobin and it is the haemoglobin which permits them to transport oxygen and carbon dioxide. Haemoglobin, is also a pigment and it gives the cells their red colour.
