Referring to the coat pattern where the hair lacks the normal agouti banding pattern, and instead has very wide bands that that make the majority of the coat white except at the very tips which are red or its dilute cream or tortoiseshell, i.e., shell cameo = Red tipped, or a shell cream cameo = cream tipped; Genetically they are red/cream/tortie silver tabbies with modified agouti banding See Tipped and Cameo.
