The coat pattern of a cat that has a golden agouti banding with with coloured hair (black, blue, chocolate etc.) on the outer portion of the hair. Goldens Chinchilla's or Tipped Goldens, refer to a cat with wide bands that make the majority of the coat golden or apricot in tone with only the very tips of the hair showing the base colour. Shaded Goldens refer to a cat with wide bands that make a large portion of the coat white with the base which show the base colouration starting almost half way down the hair shaft and extending to the tip; Genetically they are non silver agouti cats with modified agouti banding.
